ELECTIONS-2007

During the voting, minor violations of electoral legislation were identified, which are not violations of human rights. No interference in the voting process and vote counting by officials of state authorities and local self-government was recorded.

The Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights believes that the elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the early elections of September 30, 2007 in the territory of Chernihiv region were held without violations of human rights and in compliance with international standards.

For reference: According to the Resolution of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine No. 124 of August 16, 2007, the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights is the only public organization from the city of Chernihiv that received permission to have official observers during the early elections of people’s deputies of Ukraine on September 30, 2007 in the city of Chernihiv.
