The first working visits were carried out within the framework of the project “Integration of primary and secondary free legal aid at the level of territorial communities of Chernihiv region”

On April 4, within the framework of the project “Integration of primary and secondary free legal aid at the level of small communities of Chernihiv region”, working visits were carried out to the village of Goncharivske, Desnyanska and Kyptynska united territorial communities.

The working visit was attended by the director of the Regional Center for the Provision of Secondary Legal Aid in Chernihiv region Iryna Protchenko, deputy head of the department of organizational work, legal support of activities and information Veronika Rybak, director of the Chernihiv local center for the provision of free legal aid Volodymyr Bobruyko and public figures of the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights Viktor Tarasov, Nataliya Piddubna and Iryna Biryuk.

The working visit was carried out with the aim of ensuring a state guarantee of equal opportunities for citizens to access free legal aid for residents of these communities. In particular, the issue of the need to adopt a Program of Legal Education and Provision of Free Legal Aid to the Population for 2016-2017 was considered this year. Particular attention was paid to the main objectives of the program: organizing field consultations to simplify and expand access to free legal aid for socially vulnerable groups of the population and increasing the level of legal education of citizens.

As part of the visits, the population was also informed about free secondary legal aid and handouts were left.

Information note:

As is known, 5 united territorial communities have already been created in Chernihiv region today: Desnyanska, Kiptivska, Vertiivska, Makiivska and Parafiivska. The following expressed a desire to unite: Honcharivske, Kholmy, Oster, Talalaivka, Mryn and others. It is in the united territorial communities that a considerable number of legal issues arise today, and that is why the employees of the centers and the public organization decided to first of all address the united territorial communities and those that plan to unite with a proposal for approval of programs.
