A training on judicial proceedings during armed conflict was held in Chernihiv for lawyers and lawyers of the BVPD system

On November 4, 2022, a training on “Certain Problems of Trials During Armed Conflict” was held in Chernihiv for attorneys and lawyers working in the free legal aid system in the Chernihiv region.

Representatives of the regional office of the Right to Protection Charity Organization also participated in the event.

The event was opened by the head of programs of the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights

. In addition, at the beginning of the training, a representative of the Right to Protection Charity Foundation spoke about the activities of the Foundation and possibility of cooperation.

Within the framework of the intensive program, the training participants worked in the following areas:

– Transitional justice: general provisions.

– General provisions on the right to a fair trial in the practice of the ECHR.

– Current aspects of a fair trial during war.

– International Protocol on the Documentation and Investigation of Sexual Violence in Conflict.
