Physical and mine safety training for volunteers of Chernihiv region

The project “Strengthening the Organizational and Security Potential of the Volunteer Community of Chernihiv Oblast”, implemented by the NGO “Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights” together with the NGO “Active Society of Ukraine”, continues to successfully conduct trainings for activists called upon to assist vulnerable groups in dangerous areas.
At this stage of the project, two important trainings were held in the city of Chernihiv: “Mine Safety and Survival Skills in a War Zone” and “Physical Safety of Volunteers, First Aid”, which brought together participants from various public organizations and volunteer initiatives in the region.
30 volunteers and activists who expressed a desire to help those in difficult conflict situations took part in the mine safety and survival skills training. The participants received the necessary knowledge and skills to identify and avoid dangers associated with mine threats, as well as the ability to survive and provide first aid to victims.
The second training, dedicated to the physical safety of volunteers and first aid, brought together 22 participants. It discussed safety issues during volunteer activities, in particular the correct approach to physical exertion, the basics of self-defense and first aid.
The project “Strengthening the organizational and security potential of the volunteer community of Chernihiv region” continues to gain momentum, expanding the circle of people ready to actively help in case of conflict situations. The following project activities will be aimed at providing volunteers and activists with knowledge and skills in the field of digital security, communication and public leadership.
