From now on, internally displaced persons will be able to receive legal assistance in five more regions of Ukraine

Lawyers of the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights provide a full range of free legal support for internally displaced persons in Chernihiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zhytomyr and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.

As part of the project, internally displaced persons from occupied territories and combat zones are informed through the media about their legal rights, legal remedies and the availability of legal services.

Qualified lawyers provide comprehensive free legal and consulting support, legal aid, including in national and international courts, in particular through:


– legal advice


– assistance in preparing documents


– representation of interests in court.

The main issues on which legal aid is provided:

• social rights and guarantees of internally displaced persons;

• recognition of facts of death, birth, registration;

• renewal of lost documents;

• issues of dismissal from enterprises in the ATO zone;

• inheritance issues of internally displaced persons;

• registration of internally displaced persons;

• rights and obligations of internally displaced persons;

• procedure for providing targeted assistance to displaced persons.
