A public reception center for combating corruption in land relations operates in Chernihiv

As part of the activities of the anti-corruption reception center, direct legal assistance is provided to citizens in order to encourage them to protect their right to land ownership.

Such activities allow solving two issues at once: firstly, citizens who believe that their property rights are being violated are provided with assistance in restoring this right, and secondly, there is constant monitoring of current problems of violation of land ownership rights.

The anti-corruption reception center provides legal advice to citizens, represents their interests in courts, state authorities and local self-government bodies. It also carries out explanatory work, distributes thematic booklets where people can find answers to solve the problems they have.

According to the head of the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights, Viktor Tarasov, legal ignorance of citizens is one of the reasons for corruption in the field of land turnover, they simply do not know where to turn to resolve a particular issue, what documents they need to submit to resolve their issue.
