ANNOUNCEMENT: National information campaign to combat human trafficking. Installation “GRANI3” in Chernihiv

At the initiative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Office in Ukraine and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, with the assistance of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration and the Chernihiv City Council, the opening of the installation “EDGES 3” and a briefing for the media will take place on Thursday, April 20, 2017, from 11:00 to 12:00, in Chernihiv on Heroes’ Alley (from the Red Square).

“EDGES 3” is a temporary installation designed to draw attention to the problem of human trafficking and involve the public in preventing and combating modern slavery. According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Office in Ukraine, over 160,000 Ukrainians have been victims of human trafficking since 1991. The installation “3 EDGES” provides important information about the phenomenon of human trafficking, introduces real stories of victims, tips for safe employment and travel, as well as hotlines for combating human trafficking. The installation will be located in Chernihiv until May 4, 2017, and then travel to other regions of Ukraine.

The National Information Campaign “GRANI3” is being implemented by the IOM Representative Office in Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine with funding from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway and the generous support of the American people through a project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The IOM implementing partner in the implementation of the National Information Campaign “GRANI3” in Chernihiv is the NGO “Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights”.
