Street campaigns to activate and educate voters in Chernihiv

In Chernihiv region, representatives of the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights continue to distribute legal educational materials on ways to check data in voter lists, on the possibility of voting outside the place of registration, on the features of the voting procedure on election day.
Thus, public activists remind Chernihiv residents of the need to be attentive and responsible in the elections so as not to lose their vote.
“Since April, our organization, as part of the implementation of “Protection of Civil and Civic Rights in Ukraine”, has been conducting a number of activities aimed at ensuring that voters in Chernihiv region do not lose the opportunity to vote and make an informed choice during the elections on May 25,” says Natalia Piddubna, a lawyer at the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights. – This includes the preparation and dissemination of legal advisory articles through the media, the distribution of legal educational booklets, and the provision of consultations on election issues in the organization’s public reception. In particular, in recent days, dozens of Chernihiv residents have contacted the organization regarding the specifics of the voting procedure, making changes to voter lists, or changing the place of voting.”
Also, sets of legal educational materials for voters have been transferred to justice bodies, higher educational institutions, as well as for “special” voters who are in penitentiary institutions and registered in the Chernihiv Center for Homeless and Sheltered Citizens.
