PRESS RELEASE: Six months of online legal aid in Chernihiv region

On Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., a presentation of the six-month experience of the Remote Advisory Point for the provision of free legal aid in the Chernihiv region will be held in the premises of the V.G. Korolenko Chernihiv Regional Universal Scientific Library (41 Myru Avenue).

The event will present the results of the work of the Remote Advisory Point, which was first created in the Chernihiv region and has been operating on the basis of the V.G. Korolenko Chernihiv Regional Library since January 2014. With its help, residents of remote settlements of Chernihiv region receive free legal consultations online via video link, using computers connected to the Internet in local libraries.

Specialists from the justice system, the state land agency, the pension fund and social protection of the population are also involved in such interactive communication with citizens, since most of the citizens’ appeals concern their competence.
