A roundtable on coordinating the humanitarian response to gender-based violence was held in Chernihiv

Representatives of the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights, together with partners, held a meeting of the working group on coordinating the humanitarian response to gender-based violence in the Chernihiv region with the participation of the UNFPA representative office.
Representatives of the working group on sexual and reproductive health of the Health Cluster, as well as educators, representatives of public organizations and territorial communities of the region, both offline and online, also joined the meeting.
During the meeting, the following were discussed:
– the status of implementation of the policy on combating and preventing GBV in the region;
– the number of specialized services created in the region;
– the funding situation for partners by international donors;
– current challenges in the region; – unified information on available services for victims of sexual and gender-based violence and specialized referral services in the region;
– Ukraine’s humanitarian needs and response plan for 2025.
The work of the Center for Assistance to the Rescued was separately presented, whose representatives travel to communities in Chernihiv region and provide comprehensive assistance to all those in need. During the meeting, participants discussed updates from partners on their current and planned for 2025 measures to prevent and combat gender-based violence.
