Chernihiv human rights activists strengthen stress resistance and motivation in public activities

Overwork, stress, professional burnout. How to avoid their harmful effects and how to fight them? The training on the topic: “Motivation, stress resistance and combating professional burnout” helped to understand this, the trainer of which was the unsurpassed supervisor, psychologist and expert on combating gender-based violence of the NGO “Center “Women’s Perspectives” Olena Kalbus.

Working every day in conditions of constant stress and tension, it is difficult to find a balance between work and personal life, yourself, so it is worth understanding the consequences that this challenge can lead to.

Employees and volunteers of the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights paid special attention to counteracting stressful situations and their own behavior under the influence of stress.

During joint work, activists learned more about the causes of stress, its positive and negative effects on a person as a biological and social being, factors that determine the course of a stressful situation, as well as strategies for overcoming stress.

During group and individual work, they performed useful and effective exercises that helped improve teamwork and get to know each other. Together, they looked for effective methods of overcoming stress, identified signs of working with professional burnout, and how to develop stress resistance in themselves, because high stress resistance is the key to a calm and happy life.

Thanks to the training, our organization was able to improve self-knowledge, teamwork and create a healthy working environment to prevent professional burnout.

The project “Protection and support of victims of gender-based violence in wartime conditions in Chernihiv region” is implemented by the NGO “Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights” within the framework of the “Capable and Strong” program, implemented by the Eastern Europe Foundation with the support of Switzerland.
