3 more Chernihiv schools will introduce School Understanding Services

In Chernihiv region, 3 more schools will create School Mediation Services to help students effectively resolve conflict situations.

During the autumn holidays, high school students from Lyceum No. 32, schools No. 33 and No. 21 took part in a 4-day training course “Basic Skills of a School Mediation Service Mediator”.

Thus, the children had the opportunity to master new knowledge and methods of mediation, developed their own communication skills, which are necessary for mediators, and formed a new approach to conflict resolution, in particular by taking into account the interests of all participants in the conflict situation.

Thanks to the method of engaged learning, participants practiced the skills and knowledge they had already acquired during the training, worked in groups and completed creative tasks.
