A branch of the Public Justice Center of Chernihiv Region at the Ichnyanskyi District Court has been opened

On July 3, 2020, under adaptive quarantine, the branch of the Public Justice Center at the Ichnyanskyi District Court of Chernihiv Oblast began operating. Representatives of local government, law enforcement agencies, probation, executive service, legal aid bureau, and community members were present at the opening.
The activities of the Public Justice Center (PJC) are carried out with the support of the American people, provided through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of the New Justice Program.
We would like to remind you that the Public Justice Center is a platform that unites the efforts of representatives of the judiciary, executive authorities (police, justice authorities, centers for criminal cases), local governments and the public to solve urgent legal problems at the community level.
The services of the Public Justice Center are comprehensive and include primary legal assistance, legal consultations, secondary legal assistance in strategic cases, client referrals, mediation, facilitation of processes in communities, legal education, etc.
The Public Justice Center operates at the address of Ichnya, Trudova St., 4 (Ichnya District Court), 1st floor, room 9. Reception days: Monday – Friday from 10:00 to 16:00 (lunch from 13:00 to 14:00).
In addition, every first and third Thursday of the month, a joint reception of citizens will be held by lawyers of the Public Justice Center and the Ichnyan Legal Aid Bureau from 10:00 to 15:00. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) New Justice Program has been implemented since October 2016 and builds on the achievements of previous USAID projects, Ukraine: Rule of Law and Fair Justice.
The purpose of the program is to provide support to the judiciary, the Government, the Parliament, the legal community, law schools, civil society, the media and citizens in creating conditions for the functioning of an independent, accountable, transparent and effective justice system that ensures the rule of law, and in the fight against corruption.
