A forum to support women’s volunteering was held in the Chernihiv region

The forum brought together representatives of public organizations, charitable foundations and volunteers of the Chernihiv region. The participants of the event worked out mechanisms for networking organizations, developing and supporting women’s volunteering in the region. More than 30 volunteers and public activists took part in the event, which took place on December 9 in the “Project” complex.

“We discussed with the participants of the forum how the rights and interests of volunteer and charitable organizations can be protected and how they are protected. What violations of the law can be during the war and what liability is provided for this. And, of course, they stopped at the imperfect legal regulation of the circulation of humanitarian aid under martial law,” emphasized

The topics of emotional intelligence as a guarantee of a volunteer’s emotional stability, professional burnout and combating it, and effective search for ways to support and stabilize a person’s moral health were discussed by the head of the charitable organization “Chernihiv Network”, psychologist, certified coach and trainer

“Each of us should be able to establish communication between volunteers, charities, public organizations and state bodies. Therefore, during my speech, I paid special attention to this,” says Anastasia. “At the same time, we also talked with the forum participants about the main aspects of the regional strategy for the development of women’s volunteering.”

During the forum, a working group was created, which should soon develop the basic principles of creating the Public Platform “Women Volunteers of Chernihiv Region.”


The activity is taking place within the framework of the project “Building the Capacity of Women’s Volunteer Initiatives in Wartime,” which is implemented by the All-Ukrainian Coalition for Legal Aid with the assistance of the Canadian Foundation for Local Initiatives in cooperation with the public organization “Active Society of Ukraine.”
