A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the representative of the Ombudsman in the Chernihiv region

In today’s conditions, it is important to join the efforts of state institutions and the public to ensure maximum effectiveness of measures taken to comply with human rights in the region, in particular in the context of land reform.

That is why, in order to improve cooperation and consolidate efforts aimed at active participation in education and awareness-raising in the field of human rights, the provision of legal assistance, monitoring the observance of human rights, as well as conducting joint advocacy campaigns, in February 2021 a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Iryna Zhmaka – Regional Representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights in Chernihiv region and the Public Organization “Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights”.

In addition, the representatives also agreed on a Plan of Joint Activities for 2021, as it is important not only to formalize relations between the structures, but also to effectively implement the purpose of the Memorandum.
