ANNOUNCEMENT: training “Implementation of public (participatory) budgeting in the local community”

We invite representatives of territorial communities and public activists of Chernihiv region to the training “Implementation of public (participatory) budgeting in a local community”.

When and where

Chernihiv, October 5, 2018 (Friday), start – 10:00.

Who can participate in the training

Representatives of territorial communities and public activists of Chernihiv region, interested in introducing the implementation of public participatory budgets in their communities.

The aim of the event is to increase the capacity of representatives and activists of local communities to implement public (participatory) budgeting tools at the local level.

In the event program

– Advantages of implementing participatory budgets in decentralization

– Models of public budgets for local communities

– The role of local governments in creating conditions for citizens’ participation in the budget process

– Successful practices and examples of implemented projects within the framework of participatory budgets

– Practical exercises in project preparation.

Participation in the event is free of charge.

The organizers provide meals and reimbursement of travel costs (public transport) for participants of the event, provided that they provide documents confirming the cost of travel.
