Gender-based violence (GBV) is a serious problem of the modern world that requires a comprehensive approach to its solution. Training in this area is extremely important, because law enforcement agencies play a major role in preventing and responding to such cases.

The main goal of the event was to raise awareness among participants about domestic violence, its nature, causes and consequences, and to develop skills for effective cooperation between actors implementing measures to combat and prevent GBV. The event covered several aspects, including: understanding gender stereotypes, types of violence, current legislation regulating gender-based violence and gender equality, and methods of working with victims that will guarantee them assistance and safety.

The training consisted of 2 parts: theoretical and practical. During practical tasks, participants actively answered the questions posed, developed algorithms for working with victims, discussed national legislation on GBV and the procedure for action that can be applied to the perpetrator, discussed an action plan based on real cases, and created an effective mechanism for assistance in the event of violence.

Training in the field of combating gender-based violence is a necessary step to address this problem. Such trainings are designed not only to increase the competence of participants, but also to contribute to the creation of a safer environment for all members of society.
