Chernihiv residents and immigrants presented their ideas for developing their own business

On January 31 and February 7, 2017, the defense of business plans of participants in the project “Integration and stabilization support by providing livelihoods to internally displaced persons and the population affected by the conflict in Ukraine” took place in Chernihiv.
After completing a series of trainings on self-employment and developing their own business, internally displaced persons from Donetsk, Luhansk regions and Crimea and representatives of the local community had the opportunity to present their ideas for the implementation and development of their own entrepreneurship.
It is worth noting that among the business projects presented to the commission at the defense, there were very interesting ideas from various fields of activity. This includes the development of agriculture, poultry and livestock breeding in the region, sewing and repair of clothes, training centers for children, providing cosmetic services, baking cakes and much more.
The winners of the competition were determined by an expert commission, which included representatives of the International Organization for Migration Representative Office in Ukraine, the advisor to the Ministry of Social Policy on IDPs in Chernihiv region
Nadiya Ediyeva
and the head of the Chernihiv Trade Union of Entrepreneurs “UNITY”
Svitlana Zhymolostnova
.
Let us recall that the goal of the project is to promote the integration and social adaptation of people who moved to the Chernihiv region after the annexation of Crimea and the start of military operations in Eastern Ukraine, and other vulnerable representatives of the local community. According to
Kateryna Dankova
, a representative of the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights, today such a program for the support and development of businesses for displaced persons is very relevant in the Chernihiv region.
In the Chernihiv region, the project “Integration and stabilization support by providing livelihoods to internally displaced persons and the population affected by the conflict in Ukraine” is implemented by the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Rights in partnership with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) with financial support from the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, acting through the Department for International Development (DFID).
