Docudays UA in Chernihiv region: a journey through illusions

On December 1, 2016, at 11:00, in the conference hall of the Ukraine Hotel (Chernihiv, Myru Ave., 33, 4th floor), a press briefing will be held dedicated to the opening of the 13th International Traveling Human Rights Documentary Film Festival Docudays UA in the Chernihiv region. The festival will travel through the Chernihiv region from December 1 to 16, 2016.
This year’s Docudays UA screenings are united by the theme “Through Illusions”, because today countries and peoples are saying goodbye to many of their illusions. The illusion of the stability of the world order, which strong democratic countries have agreed on together, is being destroyed. The illusion of the whole world about the weakness of Ukraine and the inability of Ukrainians to self-organize has been dispelled. Ukrainians, in turn, have faced a fundamental question: isn’t it time for the authorities and society to get rid of the illusion that the country can be reformed without changing the basic relations in the economic, social and cultural spheres. This year’s program of the 13th Docudays UA Traveling Festival in Chernihiv Oblast, as well as numerous events and innovations of the festival on December 1, will be told by the participants of the press briefing:
–
Nadiya Kryvopalenko
– regional coordinator of Docudays UA in Chernihiv Oblast of the NGO “MART”;
–
Ruslana Burova
– human rights activist, executive director of the NGO “MART”;
–
Kateryna Dankova
– lawyer, program coordinator of the Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights.
