LEGAL EDUCATION OF THE UNEMPLOYED

The seminars were held within the framework of the project “Legal Assistance to Unemployed Women of Chernihiv” with the support of the Democracy Promotion Foundation of the US Embassy in Ukraine, which is aimed at developing equal conditions for men and women in the field of labor relations. The goal of the project is to provide assistance to unemployed women from the position of equal opportunities to restore violated rights in the field of labor relations and help in resolving labor conflicts with employers, expand the legal knowledge of unemployed women, etc.

Thanks to the project, more than 60 unemployed women of Chernihiv received training on issues of gender equality in the labor market and prevention of human trafficking. As a result of the activities, it is expected that the legal awareness of the unemployed, primarily women, will increase, in terms of activating the unemployed and employees to protect their own rights, reducing cases of illegal actions by employers against employees, improving working conditions, preventing discrimination in the labor market, preventing manifestations of human trafficking and illegal labor migration when working abroad, etc. In the next series of classes
