PROTECTION OF LANDOWNERS’ RIGHTS

In particular, the project provides for legal education among peasant landowners; holding public hearings on access to justice and protection of land ownership rights; holding training seminars for civil servants and public organizations of Chernihiv region on national and international mechanisms for protecting land ownership rights and ensuring access to justice; direct legal assistance to peasants; monitoring of compliance with landowners’ rights.

As part of the project, lawyers provide free legal advice to citizens and can represent their interests in courts, state authorities, and local governments. Explanatory work is also carried out and thematic booklets are distributed where people can find answers to solve their problems.
