The event is organized within the framework of the project “Enhancing Access to Justice for Asylum Seekers, Migrants, and Other Vulnerable Groups of Foreign Citizens in Ukraine”, which is implemented with the support of the American people, provided through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within the framework of .

The trainers will be leading Ukrainian experts on migration issues and practicing lawyers of the Right to Protection Foundation.

The goal of the event is to strengthen the legal capacity of Ukrainian human rights defenders and public activists who work or plan to work with refugees and asylum seekers. In particular, the issues of international and national standards for the protection of the rights of refugees and asylum seekers, the regulatory framework and case law, the main problems in the implementation of the rights of migrants with an unregulated status, the advocacy work of human rights defenders in working with asylum seekers, etc. will be considered.

The organizers provide accommodation and meals for the participants of the event. Also, the participants’ travel to the training venue and back is reimbursed within the cost of travel in a compartment train or “Intercity+” (2nd class) upon submission of documents confirming the cost of travel.


Registration is open until February 5, 2018.

Participants will be notified of the selection results on February 7, 2018. The event program and logistical details will be communicated to participants who have been selected to participate.
