Training in physical security and tactical medicine for volunteers of Chernihiv region

The project “Volunteers – the driving force of civil society and support for war victims in times of crisis”, implemented by the NGO “Chernihiv Public Committee for the Protection of Human Rights” together with the NGO “Active Society of Ukraine”, continues to successfully conduct trainings for activists called upon to help vulnerable groups in dangerous areas.
At this stage of the project, in January 2024, an important training on the topic “Physical safety of volunteers, first aid” was held in the city of Chernihiv, which brought together participants from various public organizations and volunteer initiatives in the region.
20 volunteers and activists who expressed a desire to help those in difficult conflict conditions took part in the training.
The participants considered safety issues during volunteer activities, in particular the correct approach to physical activity, the basics of self-defense and first aid, learned how to properly apply tourniquets, and got acquainted with the “tamponade” technique.
The project “Volunteers – the driving force of civil society and support for war victims in times of crisis” continues to gain momentum, expanding the circle of people ready to actively help in the event of conflict situations.
The next activities of the project will be aimed at providing volunteers and activists with knowledge and skills in the field of grant writing, digital security, communication, and leadership.
