Working meeting with a representative of the Ombudsman on the protection of media rights

During the next expert meeting, a separate working meeting was held with the regional coordinator of interaction with the public of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Commissioner for Human Rights in Chernihiv region, Alla Lepekha.

They discussed the implementation of the project “Legal Community and Local Media: Partnership to Protect Freedom of Speech” in the region, which is aimed at creating long-term legal support instruments for local media, journalists and bloggers. The project is implemented by the All-Ukrainian Coalition for Legal Aid together with partners in the regions.

As part of the activities for advocates and lawyers, specialized trainings on legal support for journalistic activities are planned, which will expand their expertise.

So there is a lot of joint work ahead.
